Hey y’all! I had a question about making my own rubs, I’m wanting to start, but am wanting to be more abstract either way my recipes. So I was looking for a base rub with simple ingredients and measurements to which I could just add from there and make my rubs off of that base. Does anyone have a good recipe or resources for rub making that I could check out? Thanks!

For beef I use salt and pepper only. Some call it Dalmatian (after the dog) but I use white pepper not black.
Pork I use a blend of salt, paprika, oregano, coriander, pepper, and others depending on my mood and where my cooking profile needs to go.

Are you looking for pork or beef rub? As others have said you’ll see SPOG referenced a lot for beef (salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder). For pork a good start is brown sugar and paprika
