ok i've been to busy trying to get these ribs EXACTly right, so sorry for the delayed post.

The comp ribs gettin' the chill off.

added a little more apple cider vinegar for the wrap and WOW! LOOK AT THAT PULL BACK ON THOSE SPARES!

Ribs are looking great...give us some details on the comp...is it a buddy and you are competing for bragging rights, is it a neighbor, and you are throwing down for a 12 pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon, or is it a family member and the loser waxes the winner's truck...

What are the rules, who are the judges? Can you get some pics of the other entries for us so we can do a visual?

Good luck...I bet everyone that gets to eat is the real winner.

it was a no holds bard, anything goes (rules wise) and the prize was bragging rights. it was forum member Faust, Faust's dad, and I. the judges were friends and family.

no pics, because as you all know, que goes quick and there was beer involved.

the old timer did admit that we gave him a run for his money and voted for MY spares. there was no clear winner (some people voted 2 or 3 times). as a parting gift the old timer gave up some apple and apricot wood.

now i'm really gonna kick his rump and i've only been doing this for a couple months now. nice.
