this is so simple and a big hit. i do a batch of these when i deep fry a turkey. also great for superbowl party or any other time.

get a jar or more of the largest olives you can find. that are seedless. they can be stuffed with anything you like. take some thin cut bacon cut in 1/3rd strip. use your own home made bacon if you have some. wrap the olive with bacon and hold in place with a toothpick. drop in 350 deg. oil till the bacon is crisp. about 1.5 to 2 min. drain well(the center of the olive may have hot oil in it. so be careful)

Interesting... Maybe ill try it next time i got the fryer out

Which types of olives have you tried and which are your favorites?  I could see using some blue cheese stuff ones from the deli and dipping the hole in some panko to prevent the cheese from spewing out, wrapped in bacon, being good.. Mmm ?

I bet some giant jalapeno stuffed would really hit the spot. even garlic. when I first read this post I scoffed at it but kept it rolling around-will have to give it a try.
