So I'm fairly new to smoking meats, just recently started, and I kind of fancy the idea of smoking my Thanksgiving turkey stuffed with bacon. Can anybody yay or nay this? I've not seen anything on here mentioning that. Everything else I've pretty well got figured out so any advice will help. thanks all!!!

Nay.

At most, if smoking a bird (lower temps than typical oven-roasting), quarter an onion and halve a head of garlic, place half of each in the cavity.

Heat needs to get into the cavity.

Ok then, perhaps the easier question, if I wanted to incorporate bacon in to my turkey smoke, what would be the best way?
