After years of grilling with gas I decided I needed to find a good charcoal grill/smoker.  After extensive research and almost pulling the trigger more than once on some pretty high priced items, I decided to keep it simple.  Bought a Weber One-Touch Platinum on Saturday.  Figured I'd start small and once I become good at this maybe move up.

My Dad never grilled with anything other than a basic Weber kettle.  He'd be proud of my purchase!

Grilled some bison burgers and spicy potatoes on Saturday and slow cooked some chicken last night.   Delicious.

Hoping to try some ribs this weekend with my big goal for now being able to pull off the perfect pulled pork - Carolina style, like I remember from all of our family reunions.  I'll be sure to share pictures and descriptions of my progress.

I've already gotten a lot of good advice from SMF members, thanks!
