After a few yrs of little to no Salmon fishing in this crap hole of a State/ CA.
The powers to be decided to throw us a few days of Salmon fishing. I hate this State, and can't wait to leave.

Anyhow, even though the Fish and wild life people say there are no Salmon left, we proceeded to catch 10 nice commercial grade King's 9 to 25lbs, in less than two hours of trolling frozen Anchovies along the beach in 60 feet of water.

Tonight's dinner, for the little Princess and me consisted of, grilled king salmon seasoned with salt and pepper, grilled asparagus seasoned with salt and pepper, and brown butter rice with blistered cherry tomatoes.

Boy, I sure do I miss fresh Salmon whenever we want it.

It was a meal fit for King's.

Kings are a better fish in my opinion.
They have more of the oily goodness to them.
Don't get me wrong, I love Silvers as well, just not as much as kings.
Silvers don't cook or smoke up as well, due to less oil in their flesh.
My family has been catching and selling both Kings and Silvers commercially for many generations. There is a reason Kings sell 10 to 1 over Silvers, and bring in higher prices.

But hey, if you like it, you like it, right? I'm not here to try to convince you otherwise.
