Hey smokers. Day 10 at the house. Beautiful day though so smoked a few racks of ribs.

Membranes removed and rubbed down with yardbird.

On to the pellet smoker at 225 using pecan. Out of apple juice so sprayed with dr pepper every 45min. Used 2-2-1 on these ribs

Was bored so decided to experiment. I normally use foil or dont wrap at all. This time used peach/pink butcher paper.

After 2 hours wrapped I was pleasantly surprised. Ribs were juicy as all get out. Let them ride for 30min and into the house for a 5 min rest

I'm starving at this point and apparently so is the cat.

These ribs turned out exactly how I wanted. Good smoke, juicy, tender. Had a great bite that pulled from bone but not fall off. Will use the paper more often. Thanks for looking!

Looks great, ran to the store when I got off, pork shoulder sliced big and 1" thick, rubbed and 1 hour at 350 or so, good but not as good yours lol

Did you notice a taste difference between the apple juice and the Dr. Pepper?
Eddie it added a touch of sweetness you dont get from apple juice other than that not much difference. Made them a little sticky. I normally put on honey when I foil so the dr pepper replaced that step pretty well

Thanks mike they were so good. I'm sure yours were good as well!

Dang Jake those look perfect! I have a friend that gave me some paper to try out but I keep putting it off. Maybe I should give it a try.

Thanks bud like a said pleasantly surprised. Get the benefit of the wrap but minus all the steam that makes the rib too fall off

Fine lookin' racks there Jake, nice piece of work, Like1 Keep an eye on that cat, doesn't look real trustworthy to me. RAY

Those are the best looking ribs I have seen all day. I bet they went down good.
