I’m craving chick fil a and don’t have one around me. I bought their Polynesian sauce they sell in the store but now I’m just craving it more. Does anyone have a copycat recipe they like. I know there are tons on the internet but I’m looking for a proven one.

brine in dill pickle juice and milk, and use dill pickle seasonings in the breading. i found a great local "nashville hot dill" spice blend, but i'm sure something similar can be found online.

that is only part of the reason. they also pressure fry their chicken, aka the trademarked "broaster"/"broasted". Surprisingly, the most similar results at home are by shallow frying in a skillet, with the breading/chicken touching the bottom.

Pickle juice and buttermilk is what I have heard.

How long to brine ?
Maybe overnight to be safe, but just a few hours will make a noticeable difference.

It is not the lighting that caused the other pieces to look a dark, that is just from not turning them fast enough. The oil should be bubbling aggressively; be careful! And again, more dill seasoning in the breading is very important.
[These were actually pork cube steaks, hence the amount of texture in the breading]
