Any BBQ competitions for beginners in Southern Cali

Would like to go to some competitions to see what others r doing....

Then I would just search the net for any comps in your area & see what's going on there.

I don't compete either, but we like to go to the local comps just to see the setups they use & sample the Q.

Don't be surprised if you think your Q is better than what you taste at the comp.

The Kansas City Barbeque Society website is a great place to check. www.kcbs.us Then check out the event section. You can probably find a number of comps there.
