Before going to South Dakota on my first Pronghorn hunt I’ve heard mixed reviews on the meat! Some have said that dogs wouldn’t eat it and many have said its excellent table fair.
So when I got back home I was anxious to give it a try. I marinated the loins in Italian dressing for 4-5 hours.
The loins were seared on the grill grates that reached over 600 degrees.
It only took 3 minutes per side and was very surprised how tasty they were with no gamey taste! The only bad thing the animals aren’t as big as the whitetail that I’m used to so I didn’t get as many packages of loins and the won’t last long.
