About 2 weeks ago my Maverick ET7 quit recieving and I would have to reset it all night. I replaced all batteries and that didn't work. I think I had it for 6 - 8 months and was out of warrantee but I called anyway. The gal said I needed new probes (20.00), I said the probes were working since the transmitter was reading the temps. She agreed and said to send it in. I did and the next week I called and asked for Elizsabeth since I heard she was good. She said they recieved it and would be testing it and either repair or relace it. I got a new one today.




Brand new in the box.



First thing I did was wrap the probes.



Then the ice water test. It is off 3-4 degrees, I can live with that.

Just thought I would share and give credit where credit is due.
 
I'm ordering one of these based on feedback from this site, so thanks. But one question; is the foil wrap to protect the probes or the wire leads?
 
If ya have a problem with a Maverick thermo. Elizabeth is definately who you want to talk with. She's a real sweetheart and definately believes in taking care of the customer!!!!!

Hey guys I gotta a question.

I have been wanting to purchase one of these but because I have been smoking on my Weber 26.75 I was worried the tight fit of the lid would sever or harm the tether. Anyone have experience with this ?

I purchased one of these based on positive feedback from here. What kind of range are you masters getting for a read out on your receiver? I get a reading and move inside and still have a reading, start playing mumble de pegs and return to receiver (in kitchen) for a look and have no reading.

I think I will have to call Ms elizabeth myself for that my Maverick remote has quit recieving too. I have tried just about everything I can think of and it wouldn't work so on the phone I'm a goin. Thanks Ron.
