Hi everybody. Been smoking for about a year now. really love doing it. I started with a Brinkman kettle type but now I have a Char-Broil type with the side box. Have not fired it up yet. Trying to get any useful info about it. Love the site

Welcome to the site, great to have you here with us. Lots of great people from all over here. Number one thing to keep in mind if your new, ASK QUESTIONS. No such thing as a dumb one either, we had to start somewhere. Looks like you have a bit of smoking under your belt so you got an idea of whats going on. As far as your smoker goes, any questions on that unit, post them over in the charcoal smokers area, unless you want to burn wood in it, then post in the wood smoker area. Not real familiar with your unit, I know what it looks like but I use a custom built wood burner. I'm sure there are some modifications and tips and tricks just for that one you have and others here with the same kind will share their ideas on them. Welcome again, great to have you and look forward to seeing some of your smokes in the very near future

Hey ndtiger, welcome aboard! Glad you're here. Congrats on the new Charbroil offset rig. Check out the Charcoal smoker section to read up on good advice on mods, methods, etc. Good luck and happy smokin'!

First off welcome to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anything to do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.

It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.
