Hello there. I'm a new guy that's always looking on here for advice so I figured I'd join. I've been backyard smoking for several years in a couple different smokers. I just bought a really cheap electric smoker from Aldi's so I'm gonna have another go at it!! I tried it out the other day with some chicken quarters and today I'm stuffing a pork loin and wrapping it in bacon. I'm hoping things turn out!! I want to thank everyone in advance for the help I'll probably need. Happy smoking!!

Welcome to the site, glad you decided to join the fun.

Here are the results from Saturday. I seem to be facing some of the same challenges that I see several beginners having with the cheap electric smokers, not enough smoke. There is a gap between the heating element and the chip pan and the door seems to leak pretty badly so I'm addressing some of those things. It's all still a learning process but the food still tasted good and no one got sick!!! ;)
