Good to hear from someone who knows what it means, been to CR 3 times, last time was 2 yrs ago. But if you really want to visit a BBQ paradise try Puerto Rico, thats where I took the picture for my avatar, a small village called Guavate high in the central mountains. The whole village turns into a giant BBQ party every weekend with 15-20 lechoneras, they don't use much for rubs or sauces, just perfectly cooked smokey hogs. Going back in a couple months for lots of pork and mofongo

Sounds awesome. Best smelling food when I was down in CR was the locals grilling and BBQ'n on the beach as we motored past in a fishing boat - it was amazing. Letting the meat speak for itself is the way to go, got to love that. I just got back from my first trip on Friday and already miss it, the good life - Pura Vida!!
