hello all...i have been reading the forums on this site for days now and have seen everyone talking about the a-maze-n product...i have a masterbuilt 30'' electric 20070910 model...i was wondering how to control the temperature with this product and what size would fit in the smoker

You control the heat just like you would normally - the AMNPS does not add heat to the equation. You will probably need to make a heat baffle to keep direct heat from the element off the AMNPS. They don't like to make smoke when they are in the direct line of fire from burners. Some people use a ceramic tile under the AMNPS to divert the heat around it.

I just purchased one a couple of weeks ago, and I can say with a straight face that it is SO worth it.  Being able to smoke a pork shoulder overnight AND sleep the entire time is worth the money alone.  I have used it twice now in my MES40, placing it in the far bottom corner, protecting it (from both the heating element and falling juices) with a simple "pup tent" made out of aluminum foil.  I had no issue controlling the temperature in the smoker, as the pellets just sit there and slowly smolder, not adding any serious heat at all to the chamber.

I have had the pleasure of testing the A-Maze-N Smoker's (Pellet, Dust, and Tube model) All have worked well. Its worth the money IMO

Here is a placement shot for you. You are going to love the way this works. This shot came from Todd

Yup

The whole line of AMZN smokers work well in every application i have put them thru.

A++

I can't say enough positive about Todd's products.  We have been using them for a couple of years now - started with the dust smoker, then got the 5x8 pellet smoker, and now we just bought the 12" tube. LOVE THEM ALL!!  They are so easy to use and can be used in virtually any grill or smoker.

Just ordered a amnps and a bag of pellets!!!.. I can't wait to start using it..thank you everyone for your help and a huge thank you to Todd!! :biggrin:
