For a couple years now, I have been wanting a welder. Unfortunately, life/finances prohibited that. Well, thanks to Mr. Tax Refund, I was able to pick this bad boy up yesterday. Had to drive 10 hours (round trip) to get it. The price was good, and it is most likely more than I will ever need.

A Millermatic 350.

First project will be to make my wood splitter. Then it is on to Smokers of many sorts.

Nice score! I wish you many happy, smooth beads!

The Cabinets are in the garage. I put new ones in in the kitchen a while back, and took the old kitchen and put every one of them in the garage. Made countertops out of 2x4's and plywood. Frame made out of 2x4's with plywood screwed down on top.

Ive got a lot of storage space in the garage. And all of it is full.

The welder will go wherever I put the 220 receptacle.

Congrats Nick I know you've been looking forward to getting one for awhile!!

You might have had to wait a bit, but you sure got a nice rig when you got it. Great piece of equipment there. I got a used Hobart Beta-Mig last year. Like you said it might be more juice than you need, but it will be nice to have it when you need it.

Nice welder there Nick and I hope you can finish that splitter now. But a question: Where do you cook the meat on that thing.???

wow good find as the 350 is an inverter based unit unlike the xfmer units.
you will really notice the difference in the arc characteristics and input amp draw.
