Please don't get me wrong. I love this forum but........

Every time I check into this forum I find pages & pages & pages & pages of postings. With a very few exceptions, you kids only have an attention span of 5 to 15 posts on any particular thread. Focus, people, focus.

I truly appreciate ALL the info put forth on this forum. I just find it frustrating some times navigating this site. My apologies.

So I guess if a new member asks a question about an old problem we should just tell him or her, sorry thats been done before go check the archives its in there somewhere.

But I know what you mean, here's a couple of Threads that qualify for just what you said. Both topics have been done before several times yet this author thought for whatever reason that we would like to see the subject done once again.

i personally think, and this is simply my opinion, that it would be more ADD like if...do you guys like using cherry wood on you spare...would it be ok to use hot sauce in my inject...have you guys ever smoked a...what were we talking about again...?

I'm not even really sure what you are saying.... you wish there would be MORE responses to each thread?

YES, I don't even read all the threads when I logon numerous times a day. WHY? Cuz this is a very popular forum, for me that would be impossible. I only have a certain bit of knowledge and a certain for forte in this hobby so I can't answer everything anyway.

I understand what you are saying but just speaking from my experience several times I have been trying to get a few questions answered and I search and search and can't seem to find my answer so I post a question and then someone comes along and answers it or can find a thread to point me in the right direction.

Now there is an honest and positive way to use the similiar postings. I read many of the posts myself, just to see if someome has tried something I could use in a future smoke. It's all good my friend.

FWIW, I did do a search on the twigs & fruit one - found nothing of consequence. As for the poll... you can blame that one on late night inebriation. Thanks for being annoying.

I have participated in forums where they are absolutely Nazi about repeated new threads, and are warning the posters and moving the post to the original thread. To say the least I don't participate in those forums. Sure some posts need to be moved to the correct forum, but in general people want to say what they think is important and be left alone, it encourages them to post more. But if some moderator or admin is constantly over riding the posts the result isn't a more orderly board it is a dead board.

If you happen to notice the amount of new members that are joining this site for a couple of reasons. One of which is they can ask any question they need to to feel comfortable here and smoking. So if you want to whin about to many questions getting repeated just don't click and read them.

I am glad alot of the topics are covered again and again. Since I am still one of the new members here, I may have not been here when the topic was discussed the first time. It may be a topic that I haven't thought of or would have ever thought of but since now someone has brought it up I now can learn something about it. If the topic was just cut off because it was previously discussed then I wouldn't have the opportunity to learn from it now. Another thought on this would be now that there are new members that were not here the first time it was discussed, those new members might add something to that thought that was never thought of before. So going over stuff more than once seems to have a lot of positives that I can see.

I just want to say I appreciate all the "experienced" members here that continue to discuss things over and over without getting tired of the "newbies" asking. This is the most open forums I have ever been apart of.

Very well said. This site is very much geared to helping people learn and enjoy the art of smoking and we will continue to answer some of the same questions over and over. If this is a problem then as was suggested don't click on them. The search feature is hard for some people to use and others simply don't know how to use it with decent results. I'm sure that you as most of us have asked questions that had been seen many times but someone took the time to answer it for you anyhow. When the same question is asked but answered by others you may even pick up on something new I know I have there is usually more than one way to do things and somebody else's way might just be easier or better.

Couldn't agree more..Now the folks who go to EVERY rollcall thread and say hello ( some with copy and paste messages) and take up the first 2 pages, well i'll leave it at that

Let's use Thanksgivin as an example, I can't begin ta tell ya how many times I said the same thin ta different posters an answered PM's, but ya know what? That's what I'm here fer. I'm here ta help folks what wanna learn a dyin craft. If we don't share, it gets lost.

If it's somethin I don't wanna answer, I don't. That's the nice thin bout bein here, we can choose ta answer er not. I don't let it ruffle my feathers none.

It's like bein nieghbors, we hep each other out even when new folks move in.

First of all, I was not "whining". I was simply making an observation. If it sounded that way, pardon me. Next, I don't click on every thread. But surfing through 4 to 6 pages of postings after coming home from work gets old. I'm sorry I brought it up. I won't bother you guys again on this.

I have been in an anxiety attack before and NEEDED to ask something in a pinch that I know was asked a thousand times before and has many threads attached to it but when my meat is on the smoker and TIME is of a great value, is asking it again really that big a crime
