Probably because I'm only a prime member for the Canadian Amazon. Prime does not go across the border unless you pay for it. Not worth my while to pay for both.

I'm not familiar with USA or Canada Amazon programs. The little I buy from them I get my order to $35 for free shipping but I always get hit with taxes because Illinois has a few distribution centers for Amazon so I get stuck with that every order.
