How the heck is everyone!

I am new to the SmokingMeatForums site. I was struck by the Smokin "god" a little over 7 yrs ago while working in the southeast part of this great country, NC, AL, GA, MS, MO. I am a native son of the state of Texas. (I am living proof things aren't always bigger  from Texas). I currently live, work and smoke in SW Ohio. Been here most of my 5 decades of existence.

I have had several "starter" big box store smokers over the years. My current smokin "toys" include a MMS 36 H2Q and a Charbroil offset for smokin and a Brinkman 8000 (propane) for quick fire grillin. I am a "stick burner" for the most part. Yep! A lotta long nights/days with cold and sometimes hot drinks. After all it is SW Ohio, where if ya don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes! LOL.

Have not entered any competition smoking events. Yet. But getting a lotta pressure from friends and family to maybe give it a shot. Mostly just enjoy feedin the same friends and family. Have done some small gratis events for friends and friends of friends. However, I support my smokin passion, paying the bills and Uncle Sam by working in the IT world.

So, if your in my area (or elsewhere) give me a shout. And if you know some good places to stock up on smokin wood around SW Ohio, Please let me know as the road trips are a killer!
