Got up at 2AM. And go figure. Couldn't fall back to sleep. So, came downstairs and checked the bag of clams I bought. They were all dead! Dang it!!
Since I was up and hungry. Figured I'd toss a couple dogs on the frying pan.

Had a 4 pack of Hebrew Nation jumbo dogs. So I slit them open and stuffed some sharp cheddar and wrapped with bacon.

2 for now. 2 for lunch tomorrow. Pretty darn tasty!

Steve, bacon wrapped dogs are a fan favorite around my house, looking good.

I have a similar schedule as you and even though I will lay in bed hoping to go back to sleep, it usually doesn't happen and I get up.

Thanks! At least I got some things done. So it wasn't a total waste. Got the ruint beans going in the crock pot. Cheese in the smoker, and cleaned up my man cave (garage)

DRKsmoking DRKsmoking thanks for asking about the mustard. While looking for a picture of it. I got led to amazon where they are selling a 6 pack of it for 15.00. I buy it at the store for 3.50 for one. Hell of a deal there!

Ha Ha , I guess I will wait until I get back to Florida to pick some up there.

On the Canadian site they want anywhere from $56.00 - $84.00 but with free shipping
and on the American site ( I have both accounts ) I can get a 6 pack for $20.00 plus $65.00 shipping
either way. I can wait

Noticed they have a jalapeno one also, have you tried that one

Thanks Steve

Nice. When I was a kid my mom would make those for us... she called 'em whistle pigs.

Looks good Steve, last time I cooked hotdogs at 2am was probably when I drank 30 years ago, I dont think they ever looked like yours though🤣

Looks great. You must have been hungry, one for each hand. That mustard looks good. I will give it a test drive. Oh how’s them pickled eggs. I can try them out for you ifn you want

The Dogs look good. Never had Bacon wrapped Hot Dogs.
Just a little FYI. Hard Shell Clams Freeze wonderfully! First restaurant I worked bought 500 count Bags to put out, on their Buffet, as Steamed Clams in Wine, Butter and Fresh Herbs. If the night was slow, they would have half the bag left. They went right in the Freezer for the following week or for other preparations, Linguini and Clams Special. Since I was the Buffet Cook, I can tell you the Frozen Clams were delicious...JJ

Thanks! I was not pleased with the eggs. I mean, I tried one. And it was good. But not as hot as I predicted they'd be. I put a teaspoon of xxx habanero powder in the jar. I'll try them again in a few days.

Hope you get it right. Wish I could get some pickle eggs and the pickled red sausage the country stores used to sell on the counter when I was a littlen. Mmmm, mmmm good

Thanks Jimmy! I've frozen live clams in the past. But I never gave that thought because I was using them the next day.

I can get those pickled sausages at a store here. They are habit forming!
