What’s going on everyone? Hope y’all are staying safe and corona free..

So my kids 4th birthday party got moved from our original locale to our house, and the wife asked if I can smoke up some pulled pork for everyone coming. Of course I would happily oblige, still running through some pork blade shoulders and pork shoulders that Harris Teeter had on sale over the last several months..

I had thawed them over the last day or so to do a small batch of pork for some coworkers, and then make sausages with her family, but when she asked to make a bunch, I couldn’t resist. Especially since I can just thaw a couple more pork blade shoulders for sausages..

I started with a honey mustard marinade base, and then did my standard PP rub. I let them marinate for about 4hours. I ended up throwing in two 9lb blade shoulders and one 7-7.5lb blade shoulder on at 1 am..

This is my first overnight smoke with the lil electric smoker, so I’m a bit nervous.. but I figure I can wake up in 3 hours and check it then and rotate them inside and go back to sleep..

I will update tomorrow during cooking as well..

I know it will turn out great. I love using the tube so I don't have to refill the chip cup on my MES every 30-45 minutes, good food off of mine every time , love the pellet grill more for overnight smokes now lol
 
Ted, I'm surprised a young fellow such as you opted to not stay up all night tending the firebox on your offset. How's that bad boy doing anyway, got it finished? Be watching! RAY
 
Sup all!! Things are smoking along.. the first pic was at 6 am and the other two were about an hour ago..

I also got some bbq sauce on the stove cooking and melding together.

I’m going to do a couple smoked jalapeños and make another batch of smoked jalapeño bbq sauce too

Lol not finished yet. Been a hectic last couple weeks, barely got the firebox primered and painted. I was trying to do some more this weekend, but our days got moved around a little bit.
 
Update!!!!

So at around 11 I pulled the pork out, they temped between 170-185. I had been planning on wrapping soon anyways, so I figured no better time than now.

Bark looks good on them, I’m pretty happy with that. It’s not the best I have done I don’t think in terms of bark look, but smells great. Will let you know how it tastes in a couple hours!!

About 45 minutes ago I added two jalapeños to the smoker, both cut in half, one cored. Going to be making another batch of the smoked jalapeño bbq sauce again.

Hey everyone!! Everything turned out great!! The pork blade shoulder turned out a little drier than the full pork shoulders, but the flavor was amazing!!

The bbq soss also was fantastic as well!

It was a donut birthday party and there is a bakery that my sister in law passed to come down and she stopped there to pick up some extra large donuts.. check em out!!!
