2 4lb butts vs 1 8lb SMOKING TIME??

I know it's all about the temp of the meat, but as a guide should I figure 2 4lbs butts will cook about the same amount of time as one?

Yes the cook time will be the same as one. The only difference will be at the beginning when the temp will drop in the smoker when you put 8 lbs of meat in. It may add a 1/2 hour to the total cook time, as opposed to just putting 4 lbs. in.
