You're good if the breast temp was at 171 like you indicate, and the thigh was at 175
I just smoked a 14lb spatchcocked turkey on a traeger at 250 and in 4 hours the breast meat was 171. I let it rest 15min and started carving it but it was so juicy it almost seemed undercooked. Do you think the meat is ok for consumption? I'm a little worried here.
