Very nice improvements there Dave. What's for dinner?
I wish I had something brag worthy planned... Wife is staying with our daughter for a few days (more on that later...overdue on updating the crew here.

I had a pork chop with spicy edamame last night and making an Italian sausage sami tonight.

When the wife is out with her friend for dinner I get the opportunity to make Beef Bourguignon which she does not like. Nothing elaborate in regards to prep but still a nice enjoyable dish served over rice with a good glass of wine. 😉

The sales rep. didn't say anything and rang it up. He must have been laughing though. It's an electric lower element and a gas upper element. They do not operate independently. Because of duel fuel we lost the use of the warming drawer, and did not have the convection fan as an available option.
Thats odd, on our ranges the gas will flow, just the igniter has no power and we use a lighter.

Since our oven was dead for 2 months we bought a fancy toaster oven, now its on a generator covered outlet. it was on a huge sale at the time. So its the back up and small cook oven now.

Your right. The top burners will work with a lighter, but the oven will not work in an outage. Our generator is 75 amps startup and 50 amps constant, so do not have the capacity to carry a 30-40 amp 220V oven. We also use a toaster oven for many bakes.

same, no full size oven on the generator.

what is the purpose to duel fuel? Why would you not want the oven on NG? If it is propane then i would not want either gas.
Personal preference, we prefer the electric oven over gas. There are pros and cons on both types. We have been using a dual fuel for a couple decades.

The dual fuel is for oven temp control. An electric oven can be more precisely controlled vs a gas burner oven. Wolf also uses a dual oscillating convection fan system that makes for a very uniform chamber temp with it full of stuff. It also allows for "air frying" that is difficult with a gas burner and air flow.

As an FYI, I've been on propane for a full gas range (Thermador) and rather liked it. Our Thermador had the gas broiler behind glass to allow for better convection fan current, but it still isn't as precise as an electric. IE is why we have a gas range top and a dual electric oven....ie dual fuel system.....

I have ng here in NY and propane in PA, the propane is very slow to heat things compared to NG.

Very interesting, I'm wondering if your pressure is low from the tank or orifice size on the burners. Propane burns hotter than NG so an adjustment has to be made. Because of the heat the often-down grade them to a lower BTU over NG out of risk over performance. Our Thermador burners were rated at 18K with NG and 15K on LP with LP orifices from the factory.....

Not sure, the house was built in 2020 and we have a 1000 gallon tank. Did have someone out and said don't expect the same performance from that compared to NG???

I will say our friends that built one house over at the same time have similar results.

I don't like gas powered ovens either.

It used to be the other way around meaning LP (propane) was more BTUs (heat) than natural gas in appliance conversions.

Exactly LP burns hotter (higher BTU) than NG. When I was having having issues with our capital range I spent some time talking to their engineer and he said regulations (they were made in CA) require LP to be down graded from the factory….if you look at the specs of all LP ranges today are all less than NG. There is no engineering reason why they shouldn’t be equal to NG

The LP BTU rating on a LP stove should be valid. They will be lower than the same burner in NG as noted above I know our Thermidor worked very well but 15k burners burn hot.

sandyut sandyut we need a pic of you at least boiling water on that range just to warm our hearts. Oh and a pic of that blue oven!!!
