I was always a BBQ nut from my first charcoal BBQ in 1968 (Double Hibachi) through 2 more charcoal grills and 5 Gas BBQs (I now have a Napoleon Prestige II).
I then bought a Bradley Smoker which I liked but the cleanup got to me. Way too much work.
I've had a Big Green Egg for year now and after six months I gave the Bradley to my buddy.
The Big Green Egg suits me fine for my type of cooking and for my birthday the kids gave me a BBQ Guru/Pit Viper to go with it and I'm in heaven.
I've done Brisket, Pork shoulder, Prime Rib, Turkey, Chicken, Ribs, Lamb and it's the best.
