    Masa based pizza

    We love Mexican food and decided to make a south-of-the-border pizza this time. The "crust" is masa, and the toppings are black bean chili, mozzarella and feta cheeses, and pickled jalapeño.

    In addition to wood fired pizza, grilling the pies is one of my favorite methods. The resulting cracker crisp crust makes for a texture that we really enjoy. This was our personal take on pizza Marguerite - pesto base, tomatoes and basil fresh from the garden, and fresh mozzarella.
