Are you going down to San Antonio to get it or shipping? What did shipping run if so? I'm looking at one too and thought we would make a weekend of it and drive down when it was ready fro DFW. I like the split gate 48" with firebrick bottom. Be sure to post some pics please.. good luck

your a lucky guy, wish I had found something like that at my new house. I have been pricing a new Santa Maria grill, looking at Sunterra and lone Star Grills in east Texas. We also have a few locale builders here in the DFW area. Nothing better for steaks. Good luck with it.

Me too. 50% loss, but .5 per person. never ran out, came close a few times, but always worked out. Go with a smaller bun, larger than a slider, but smaller than a burger size. Bun size references are escaping me at the moment, but its easy enough to figure out.

My first cook in any cast iron, pre seasoned ( like my new Stargazer pan) or seasoned by me is bacon or breakfast sausage, and lots of it. My grandmother taught me that, I use the same pan today she did back then. My grown son is already eyeing it. It's our go to pan for steaks in the house.
