Hi all,
Long time no forum for me. Health’s been a problem, but now we’re ready to get back into it.

I’ve had an MES 30 by Masterbuilt for years and have no complaints. It still works fine, but I’m wondering if I might like another style of electric more, like maybe a Bradley or something. Any thoughts on this or should I just stick with another Masterbuilt. Appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks,
Fred

I’d stick with the masterbuilt and upgrade to the 40 inch model. I have a Cabelas MES40 and the extra space is a game changer.

Can do full racks of ribs without having to cut them in half. 6 butts or whole chickens etc...

Bradley makes a good smoker but I won't buy anything that I am tied to using expensive proprietary pucks to make smoke.
Smokin-It smokers are nice but a bit expensive for the larger PID units.
Cookshack smokers are great but stupid expensive. The assorted MES clones I know nothing about...JJ

Definitely 40 for me too. Had to split a flat into 2 to get in there. Doubt a full packer would fit in a 40 tho.

Not sure if you've seen it but they have a really cool smoker coming. https://www.masterbuilt.com/pages/gen-4
Thanx Zwiller. Took a look at that next gen MES. Pretty nice, but, I can imagine the price on it will stroke out my wife, so I think I’ll do the 40.
