Yardbird Drums & Thighs

I’ve been cutting down the load in my Basement Meat Freezer, so I can defrost it for a change. The book says Defrost once or twice a year, but this will be the first time since I got this Freezer, 6 years ago.

Right now I got it down to where everything will fit in my Kitchen Freezer Drawer. All I got left in my Meat Freezer are 2 Prime Ribs, 2 more bags of Chicken Parts, 2 more packs of Deerburger, One bag of Venison Dried Beef Packs, and a Half Gallon jug of Maple Syrup.
It’s defrosting as I type this Thread.

Below is a Great meal with leftovers from some of my Freezer Clearing Actions.

Thanks for Stopping by,

Bear

5 Thighs and 7 Drums. This is what they look like when I get them from Mrs Bear, after 350° in the oven for 45 Minutes:

Thanks b-one!!

After 6 years I couldn't believe how quick it defrosted. I put two towels in the bottom to protect the floor from falling ice, and they absorbed all the water there was. Nothing went out the drain. It was completely defrosted in 5 hours with just the door open in my 55° Basement.

With what you still have in your freezer I could live on for a year.

I can get my chicken bits lookin like yours but I bet they don't taste as good as yours.

BTW it looks like I was right about the leaves fallin???.

Cheers from Down Under

Thank You Pilch!!

The day after I took that Picture, about 90% of all the leaves fell in about 2 hours, after I put the Cub Zero-turn away for the Winter & got my Gravely with 42" blower out of storage.

We just today pushed all the leaves back to the woods with my Sons Leaf Blower. Now I'm ready for Snow, because nearly all the leaves have fallen. Next year I'm going to wait longer to Store my Zero-turn.  I don't mind leaves in my yards, but not over a foot thick!!!

Great looking meal, Bear!

Points.

When I want to defrost the freezer, I wait for a day the temperature is below freezing, put everything in boxes outside and go to it. I just have to make sure it is in my unheated shed in case some of the local wildlife comes to investigate! This way, I don't have to reduce the contents, much to She Who Must Be Obeyed's disgust.

Disco.
