What's everyone's go to wood for ribs? I'm usually all in on hickory and/or apple wood, but I'm trying pecan on the w today for the first time.

I'll pick up some cherry chunks and try mixing that with pecan next time. Thx.

Mostly Hickory and Pecan.

Sometimes I will use some apple  - if I need a mellower/sweeter smoke.

Pecan is fairly mild so I combine that with the Hickory so as not to overpower the meat.

Currently I use Oak for everything because thats what I have. I got some pecan seasoning for next year and I’ve also used mesquite and hickory. Personally, I believe in using what you have access to. You can mix different woods just like different ingredients but really, it’s just different flavors of good.
