Wood identity?

I could be wrong,  but it don't look like red oak to me.  The bark is not rugged or dark enough.
 
That's oak.

I usually stay out of these "guess that wood games" but over the years I've eaten enough oak saw dust to say with no doubt that that is oak.

Note that there are many varieties of oak native to different regions of the country even some native to Florida.
