I'm just wondering why everyone is still messing around with pellets and dust when you can do this.

I agree with the guy in the video about pellets.

Too, too many will insist you have to use pellets sold by so and do, or "I only use do and so pellets".

If it works, gives YOU satisfactory results, do it and don't fall for all the hype about a certain brand.

I've been mixing wood chips and pellets for awhile now , just light the pellets and they burn the chips with them . Way better smoke flavor than just pellets .

I use strips of hickory shag bark, I pull a few pieces apart drop in the tube with room on the side for pellets, heat my pellets in the microwave then add them to the hickory, works very well imo
