I had a HP lap top a few years ago and spilled tea on it. I had the 3 year warrantee on it and got a better upgraded Toshiba over a year ago along with a couple hundred dollars back. Then in May it got over heated and sent it away to be fixed. Came back and the battery wasn't working, so I had to send the battery back. It still didn't work and the guy said he would be in town to look at it. Well that went on for months and when they finally came he said I would need a motherboard. 2 days later Toshiba said it was out of warrantee. I already spent 70 dollars on shipping. On Sam's club advice I called the warrantee service and they said it would be at least 14 days to get it back. Went back to Sam's and they said bring it back.

So today I took it back and got this for 50 dollars more.

Wow Ron, that is a great story of awesome customer service. Sorry that Toshiba wouldn't make it right.

Well it's great to hear they took care of you...that 17" monitor is going to make short work of your battery. but they are nice and it is also nice to have a 10 key...I'm sure you could find a extended battery if you wanted one.

I had a 17' before and they claim an 8 hour battery life on this one. Almost 3 times more than the HP's they had there.

No yea butts,I am too old to learn a new OS.

Ron,
you sure have Sams and their staff working for you, your sugar is keeping them on your side.

How much did yo spend for the 3 year warranty?
How long was the laptop out of service?

79 dollars, and it wasn't really out of service as a computer, but as a wireless with a battery it was 6 months.

Ron that is a great computer, the only downside is that they put McAfee on it... There are much better anti virus software available for free...

I know Paul. I removed it and use the security suite that AOL has for free.
