Hey folks, I am new to this site but have been smoking via a small rectangular verticle smoker for a few years. Nothing fancy, one of those small Brinkmans purchased at Home depot. It works but is limited. So now is the time to step up. Here is my question-Weber smokey mt or pay the big bucks and go for the komodo smokey Joe. Is the end result going to be different and are there any major flaws with either.Any input will be appreciated. Personally I am leaning towards the Weber but my better half likes the ceramic. Thanks in advanceSteve

Hi Steve!

When you get a minute would you do us a favor and go to Roll Call and introduce yourself so we can get to know you and give you a proper welcome, also would you add your location to your profile, we like knowing where you are when we talk to you, Thanks!

Dave,I would like to add the info but cannot figure out how to do so, any hints. I click on the edit profile tab and nothing happens. Any direction would be appreciated. FYI, I am in Arizona. Thanks

The Product will be the same either way. Both can, and will, turn out awesome BBQ. It's my opinion, and that of the home office's, that who ever will be putting the time into the thing, needs to be happy with it. If you are Gonna be the outdoor culinary engineer then get your Weber. Is she's gonna "man" the smoker, get her the Ceramic.

I know guys who can outcook ceramic owners with a UDS they made with scrap metal and a torch.

Steve, evening....   I'll help out Dave on this one....   In the header line, open "My Profile"....There will be an "edit community profile" window, click on it....There are some windows in there that you can fill in as you wish... Fill in with what you want the public to see and click "save".....]

If my explanation was good, then you should have it.....   Dave
