I recently did a whole chicken for my sister, and she couldn't say enough good things about it.
Now she wants me to do a trukey for thanksgiving.
I'll be cooking it in my pellet grill. We both enjoy the stuffing from the bird as its so flavorful compared to cooked in a bowl.
If I keep the temps on my pellet muncher @ 350*, will I be ok doing a stuffed bird?
Would it be safe to smoke for an hr at say 225* with the amnts, then bump temp up to 350* for the remainder?

Mowin there should be no problem cooking a turkey with stuffing. Just don't over stuff the turkey and make sure the stuffing reaches a temperature of 165 degree F.  We do it all the time.  I have cooked many on  my Weber grill without a problem, well most of the time anyway

. Good luck I'm sure it will come out great.

Stuffed Turkeys at 350°F are no issue if the IT of the stuffing gets to 165°F. I would suggest smoking a bird no larger than 14 pounds. If more is needed for a large group, do two. The tricky part is getting the stuffing hot before the breast meat dries out. This happens faster in smaller birds...JJ

Thanks guys, I was planning on doing a 12-14 lb'er. I let ya know how it goes....:drool
