I install pretty much everything on drive D which is the one that went bad. At least i still have my old computer but no gaming until I get new drive and everything re-installed. Oh what a pain!

Not sure what you use for backup, but Redo Rescue is a good product.
Saved me a couple times.
It is a bare iron backup.
Boot it, and you can backup or restore a drive or multiple drives.
Has other disk related tools.
It is free and available from sourceforge.net. A trusted place for free software.

Has a couple quirks, but once you figure them out, it is very easy to use.

I swear after having to replace TV, AVR, Health Ins and now my hard drive on pc went bad. I ready for this stuff to take a break! I guess what do they say "It could be worse"

I feel your pain, 2 set of hearing aids this year alone and last week my water softener released the ceramic pellets into my plumbing ruining all the faucets in my house and also into the water heater, then the disposal froze up and started smoking. What a mess, got 3 more faucets to replace this week and I'm done. I might add when replacing the faucets 2 of the shutoff valves were leaking after cutting them off, had to deal with that too. Water softener to the curb too.

I guess I am not alone. Several people getting hit this year. Feeling better now that I got PC going again. I really love watching Music Video's and when my avr got hit it really hit me hard. I take a lot of pride in my system and have spent many hours Calibrating everything as perfect as I could get it.

Well my bad luck continues. My new AVR crapped out. I sure hope I dont have to ship this heavy thing to a service center. Should of just paid the extra and got from Best Buy!

Yeah I here you. I have spent so much money between TV, AVR and PC from these storms. Saved $250 but know I regret it.

I wondered the same thing. I checked with one of those plug in testers but shows good.

I usually fall back on "it could be worse"...but the last 12 months have been an absolute s**t show and the show is on through the end of the year. Probably one of the worse of my life.

So I hear ya.

I'm coming up on the tail end of the worst year of my life, but things are starting to look up.
