Who has a new-ish Peoria Custom Cookers Backyard model on a trailer?

Am looking for the height of the bottom of the trailer coupler from the ground in order to get the right hitch. Can't get a straight answer from Peoria. First it was 17", then it was 15", then I got a picture from them that showed 12.25", a little ridiculous.

Any help?

Don't have one, but a standard trailer hitch height is 17" . If your in the ballpark, I wouldn't worry about it.

Just picked it up this weekend. My trailer is about 12.5 inches so I needed all of the 8" drop hitch I got for it.

Not sure if anyone would know, but is black mild steel a safe material to make tuning plates out of? Like food safe, etc.?

Yep. That's the stuff. I'd go 1/4” thick.
