Which AMNS to get?

I just picked up a MES40 and would like to get a AMNPS that would work in it and in my pellet grill.  Whats the best design?

I have the MES40 and use the 1 made for pellets.It works great. I set mine right on top of the burner/smoke shroud. it gets good air flow there just remember to pull the loading tray out about 1/2 in. for good air flow. Ive never had a problem with it going out when i put it there. Check out the pic.

That's a tough one. The AMNPS works awesome in the MES but the AMNTS (tube) was designed for pellet smokers. Your best bet would be to go right to the source and call Todd, he will give you the best advice and he is ready and willing to help you out!

How do the tubes compare to the rectangle design?  I would use in both smokers.

Dave is right - Todd is going to be honest with you and may tell you that you need both. That is what I believe as one of his long time testers. I don't think that one unit is going to work well in both smokers.

I would get the AMNPS for the MES and just use the Pellet grill for quick cooks until you can get a tube...JJ
