Inlaws have a farm. They have an occasional beef done to fill all of the families freezers. The butcher shop they use is pretty old schoolLooks good . I haven't seen a 7 bone roast in a lot of years . You buy those by you , or process your own ?
That's some good beef . Enjoy .Inlaws have a farm.
The roast looks great, but like Rich, I haven't seen one in years or decades. I don't know of anyone cutting them anymore except at home on the farm like your in-laws. I can remember in the 70's working part time at Winn Dixie in the meat department, we'd sell them for 89¢/lb. Seemed all I did was scrape the bone dust off and wrap them all day long on Saturdays. Ah, the good ole days...Looks good . I haven't seen a 7 bone roast in a lot of years .
Quality control is of the utmost importance in cooking. Wouldn't want to serve something that wasn't any good...I'll admit, I might of had a dozen or so "sample" cubes ......for ...... quality control!
Needless to say, the doggos absolutely loved the bones!I remember that ‘ol timey cut as well. We had the same giant freezer with half a beef. I remember digging the meat out between the bones. Wow.
I got lucky, one of my boys is out of town working. Another left to go fishing with his buddy. So it wasn't very apparent the amount of "samples" I consumed. So as of now, yes there is some leftovers, but my third boy hasn't eaten yet and I'm sure he will destroy what is left lolLooks nice! Any leftovers?![]()
