We have a Hendersonville, a Gerton/Bat Cave and a Sunnyview now and I'm sure quite a few more either local or really close by. All close enough to organize a smoke off locally and let the public be invited and get a town to sponsor it like Franklin does. It does not have to be KCBS.

Doubt it will be Tryon.... They axed the blue ridge BBQ last year.... But definitely up to a meet and greet cooking.....

Tryon became stale, attendance was dropping and beer won out over bbq. Weather the storm.
 
Pilot Mountain transplant now living in “KurrRee” (that’s “Cary” for those from further north than the VA line). Just getting back into smoking after picking up a close out Masterbuilt 40-inch propane for $120 in Wally World. So far so good. Looking forward to digging into these forums for lots of great advice and recipes.
