Beautiful pics! I have the little'uns (Whitetail) here in my back yard, they normally don't hang out in such numbers. What you have in your backyard is my favorite red meat. Fell in love after my first steak.

Thank you! Yes, we have some Whitetail as well… though they keep themselves hid pretty well! But these elk are like “well, here we are”. LOL

And agree, our favorite red meat is elk as well! Good stuff for sure!

Wow, so lucky!
When I read your title, I was thinking maybe you had same problem as me, and were going to show how you made like 20 lbs of Gopher Sausage!

But your invasion is WAY better than mine! ;)

Thanks Dave, never gets old watching them! Ha, I could have made some gopher sausage a few years ago… they are a pain to get rid of!

Boy howdy Justin, talk about a room with a view! Do the wolves come after them when it snows hard? I bet they be even prettier when viewed thru a rifle scope! RAY

Awesome Justin
You would not shoot one of those for fear they wouldn't return would you. I know it would be hard to do not too.

Wow that is a beautiful sight and I'm sure it would never get old. I have never had the opportunity to eat any elk meat. Harvesting one was once on my bucket list but doubt it will ever happen. Years ago I was looking at property in Texas mostly west Texas and found a couple hundred acre piece that they claimed had antelope, mule deer, and whitetails on at certain times of the year in huntable numbers. Was hard not to buy that property but the wife decided she didn't want property that far away.
The property we live on has a lot of whitetails on and trans versing it and I can usually sit on the porch morning or evening and see anywhere from 5-20 deer. Yesterday I went out and sat less than an hour and saw 17 different deer and I missed the 4-5 that come to the feeder right near the porch. Put the feeder there so the wife could sit and watch the deer. She takes her morning coffee out on the porch about every day she's off and watches them. Of course she says those are her pets and I'm not allowed to harvest any of them.

Wow, Justin. Beautiful pictures!!
We pretty much always have White tails in our yard year round, and moose on occasion. We've also had bear, linx, coyotes, and wolves visit, but never in 15 years of living out here in the bush has an elk wandered in.

So that's where they went!
My neighbor got skunked a couple months ago when he hunted near Walla Walla. He said the snow was too deep to chase them up the higher elevations, so he and his hunting buddies bagged it after just 2 days.
I normally trade him some bacon for elk.
