The first car I ever drove was a 72 Ford Crown Vic...I was 12 years old - went to a cousin's house in NC with the old man and he thought it would be better if I drove home

First car I owned was a 67 Chevy II.  Bought it from my uncle when I was 15.  He was nice enough to sell it to someone else while I was in Europe (Army) without my knowledge...ain't that nice?

LOL

Bill

Age 13... a 55 chevy belair station wagon.
My first legal car.... 61 pontiac star chief

My girlfriend (who later became my wife) came into the relationship with a yellow '67 Dodge Dart w/ a slant-6 engine. She said I was only dating her for her car. It was nice, and super easy to work on--not like cars now.

We traded it in for a red '78 Datsun pickup with a red sport canopy, and wide sport tires, so that was officially my first car.

Mostly young'uns here?

Not the first to drive?

First I owned was a 56 Pontiac four door hardtop.

Dam?  How old am I?

Good luck and good smoking.

First car I bought was a 1967 Dodge Coronet 440, Turbine Bronze Metallic, with black vinyl top.

Forgot to mention----Cost me $2751 brand new.

Only picture I could find of the color. Looked just like this:

The benefits of growing up in a small Nth Florida rural town are many. My first car wasn't exactly a car, it was 1963 Willys (Kaiser) Jeep. I was 15 years old.

I will never forget the day we bought it. It was on a Saturday morning, my dad woke me early and told me we were going to Langley Oldsmobile & Buick in Jacksonville. They were the dealer for Kaiser Jeeps at the time.

Jacksonville is about 50 miles north of where we live. We chose a green CJ5 with a 90 hp hurricane 4 cyl. engine, 4x4, 2 front seats and a rear seat with a canvas top. I think it had a heater. All this for under $1900.00!

It would be a year before I got my permanent license, but that didn't matter much as long as I didn't drive it through town. I kept that little Jeep up until I was 27 years old, only to trade it for a 1971 CJ5 with a V-6 engine.

Some of the best years of my life!

First one to drive, as I can recall, was a 1974 Pontiac Venture. First to own was a 1973 Camero which soon after being bought became a money pit. Found out the engine was a 1967 283. Got rid of it soon after and my auto mechanics teacher at school said "Have I got a deal for you". His sister-in-law had his old car on blocks in the carport and was looking to sell it. 1970 Chevelle SS/Malibu (Special Factory Order). Used to use it to pull his 68 SS to the track. 402 BB, TH 400, plus some work done under the hood and exhaust. Teacher was an intake system specialist for a local Dodge dealership. Picked it up for $1000. Did a lot of work on it and was getting 22 mpg highway and turning low 14's in the 1/4 mile with street tires. Dang I wish I still had that car!!! Too many tickets led to it being sold. Should have just gotten a lighter foot!!

First car i "owned" was a '91 Dodge Dynasty...it was a hand me down from my grandma, to my dad, to my sister and then to me.

First car learned to drive in was a '53 Studebaker Landcruiser, i sat on my dad's lap when i was probably 10 and would steer it. As i got older i was able to drive it unassisted. Still have the car in my garage! alot of good memories come with that car

I had that same car, only it was a 64 XL, black, 4 speed with red interior.

My first car I drove was a 66 Galaxy, I was 14 and my buddy let me take it out all the time. My first car was a 66 Country Sq. wagon. I never drove it, I was 13. My mom got tired of it and had it towed away , she was handicapped, and needed the carport. At 16 mom gave me her old wagon , a 69 Kingswood. I have two 69 chevy wagons in my driveway now.

I learned to drive in my father's 1955 Chevy 4 door hadtop (I think I was about 10 the first time I got behind the wheel).

The first car that I owned was a 1971 Thunderbird.

Red

Don't remember for sure the first car I drove.  I was only about 2 1\2 and apparently tried to take my dads car for a drive  I will have to ask my dad.  Somehow managed to get it going and was just about out of the driveway when my parents caught me

My first car of my own was a 1973 Camaro...it was a LOT of fun.

First car was a 67 Plymouth Satellite that I bought off my brother. Man was that thing quick!  Too bad I totaled it out drag racing or I might still have it.

Pic is not actual car but as near in color that I could find.

Dang!

You guys are making me feel ANCIENT!

The first car I ever drove was a 1932 Model A Ford Coupe. I was about 11 or 12 at the time.

The first car I ever had as my own was a 1950 Ford Custom 4 door ca 1957.

The first new car I ever bought was a 1963 Ford Falcon.

Don't have any pics of any of them and if I did they would be all faded and worn on paper and not digital.

Damn! I AM ANCIENT ! ! !
