i have a smoke hollow smoker and grill with offset firebox. was wondering if i should use briquettes, lump charcoal or logs of wood. which will burn the hottest and keep the temperature the steadiest for long hauls. Thanks for the help

In that smoker I think I would go with lump charcoal and smaller wood chunks for the flavor.

Now I have only done a handful of charcoal smokes so I always have used lunk like Jerry said so listen to him he does charcoal and wood alotof the times.

Lump charcoal for heat source and wood for flavor .
