What kind of tank is this?

Looking for a new project.  Found this on CL and the guy doesn't know anything about it.  From the single picture posted, Can you fellas guess what this might have been?

Looks like an oil tank, be careful if it was a gas tank. If its close enough take a ride a smell the inside.

He just text me back....the only info he gave me is that its 72" long and 29" tall.   One bung hole in the middle and one on one of the ends.

Well I'm brain farting at the moment......for $40 is it worth the safety aspect?  My time is $$ too but I've been in the mood to build a "take your time" type build lol!

Based off experience from you guys, how many burn outs (temp?) would ya'll recommend?  Sand blast will be done, BUT, before or after a hot burn out?

Check the thickness of the steel...... No point in building a smoker if it is 1/8" steel.... The amount of work, and the dollar expense is the same for a great CC (1/4") or 1/8".... the only difference is the cost of the CC..... You are going to have about 100 man hours in this build and probably another $500..... don't skimp on the CC...... It is the largest area of heat loss in the build....
