Lately, I have been looking for some easy ways to make some extra money on the side. Long story short, after building my first UDS I have had several people ask me about it and where to get one and blah blah blah. Nonchalantly, I said to my friend that if he liked it so much I would sell it to him and build myself another. I have about $115 or so into it minus my time. That includes the drum itself, 2 new weber grates one for cooking and the other for the fire basket, expanded steel for the fire basket, the ball valve, handles, hardware and some hole saw bits. I am going to sell this one for $175 to my friend since I want to do the next one a little different and this one was my learning experience. After that, I figured maybe I could sell them locally on craigslist or whatever if people are interested and use the funds from one to build another and so on. One, I love working on things like this that have a nice end result and if others are into it maybe that would be an easy way to make some decent cash. How much do you think these things would be worth to the public, maybe like $300 or so? I have no clue. I don't want to screw someone over but I don't want to give them away either. This is the first one I built that will be purchased soon hopefully. The next ones will be a little different but same basic idea. I would also consider custom things for people if that is what they want (shelves, thermometers, etc.)

Ok, I guess I am in the ball bark then. I guess they are worth whatever someone is willing to pay, we will see how it goes.
