Hello, recently my significant other purchased a couple of dry rubs for me.

I would like to use them to flavor my jerky and I was wondering what other ingredients I need to add to maximize longevity and flavor. I am fine with turning the rub into a brine or a marinade if that is easier as I know they offer more flavor!
