I currently use Fiesta brand. You see their spices in most stores but not always the curing salt....

This! Brand doesn't really matter since the formulation is standardized in the US. What I'm working on now came off Amazon from Spice Labs.here in the US it is as a formula standardized as 93.75% sodium chloride and 6.25% sodium nitrite.
I bought a small bottle of that one time in a pinch . Got it at Academy . Damn thing had a shaker top on it . Just wondering if yours did , or if I got a mistake bottle .I currently use Fiesta brand.

Exactly . I bought mine because my order from TSM didn't show up in time . I was shocked when I saw that , and took it off and tossed it .Got my bottle from academy. It has a Shaker top.
Makes you worry about somebody using it as plain salt.
As long as it doesn't pick up any moisture, it will last a long time....
A pound goes a long way so the pink color of mine has faded to nearly white like regular table salt but still works as advertised.

With the huge rise in popularity of Himalayan (pink) salt I worry about confusion both ways.Got my bottle from academy. It has a Shaker top.
