Hi Folk's,

Just picked up one of these at Sam's today and can't locate a source for a cover to fit it yet.

Called Masterbuilt and they don't make one.

Been to Lowe's and H.D. but neither had anything close to fitting.

Thanks in advance for any input you might have.

For awhile there, I thought you had a hold of a 40 ft. MES! Now that would be hard to find a cover for ...

And expensive to load up with meat too

Hi there Richoso1, thanks for pointing that out. Yeah, I was 'bout half asleep when I posted that. Well, I was able to edit the title at my post, but the title that appears on the main page here didn't change... hmmm.

Oh well, that's about all the 'puter wisdom I can muster up for one day

See ya around the fire,

Hi Joe,

Appreciate the info. I'll look into them if I can't find a ready made one.

Just for nothing, I had read the covers for the MES 30" were terrible. I use a heavy contractor's garbage back for mine and it's worked all Winter long.

Got a generic 30" Grill cover that fits in Home Depot for like $7.00. 36" high. Not great but does the job. Does not go all the way to the ground but close.

I've heard horrible things about the durability of the Masterbuilt cover. I use a Brinkmann (Home Depot sells them) cover that is in a cardboard box. I use these for both my big block GOSM (sits outside 24/7) and it has held up to 60+ MPH winds (I have 1 mile of open field to my west so I get HORRIBLE winds) in near 0 degree weather (most covers I tried will shred due to the winds/cold). I bought a 60" for my MES but I keep in the garage so I haven't tried it yet. The only downside to them is they have a mesh section to allow the grill to breathe. I've been using one on my RED grill for a few years with zero issues. Some don't like that they fade (it will be gray in a year of sitting in the sun) but I don't care about that as long as it does its job protecting the equipment.

I was in getting my winter tires removed and they had big plastic bags to put your take-off tires in. That bag covers the MES 30 with room to spare and it is heavy duty.

I picked this up at OSH for about 17 bucks, pretty heavy duty and about perfect size. I think the mantis likes the color.  Glad those things aren't as big as horses

Just a quick browse on google and I found this:

I have the MES 40 and its hard to find a decent cover that fits.  But I'm fortunate, I'm able to keep mine under one of those heavy duty monster trashbags in the garage.  I built a simple wooden frame and added some medium duty casters that I set the MES onto.  So now the MES sits in the corner under a trashbag until it's called upon.

I'm going to affirm that the cover Jresurv recommended fits great and even has a bungee cord on the bottom with moisture vents.... $19.98 at Home Depot in case anyone's interested......
