Greetings from Central Indiana, formerly NW Missouri. First time posting here.

Long time PBC cooker and earlier this year added a Oklahoma Joe's Bronco barrel cooker.
I am wanting to try some sausage making, so last week I acquired a barely used, all stainless Gen 1, 20070311 MES 40.
I plan on removing the back and upgrading the wiring, connectors and thermal switch, bypassing the original controls and wiring. The control will be via Auber AW-1520H.

I would like to purchase a spare heating element but it looks like MB has discontinued the 1200W version Part #9907090039. Does anyone have experience with aftermarket elements? ebay has several listed, one of the descriptions on ebay reads like it is an OEM unit, but when asked they verified it was an aftermarket unit. So it appears there aren't any factory parts available. Any input would be appreciated
Thanks
Wes
