Hey. I'm considering getting new cookbook software. I am currently using Mastercook ver 15. I'm okay with this software because I've been using it for a very long time. Now I have to reimage the laptop ( not liking WIN 11 and HP).
I had problems moving Mastercook onto this most recent laptop support was non existent.

What do you guys use/ recommend? I want something that is currently supported and runs in WIN 11. Don't mind paying for the software.

Thanks in advance
RG

Paprika. I'm up to around 1700 recipes in mine now, it has a fantastic browser input. It has ended up being our main calendar as well.

Used mycookbook.com for a short while but never really followed up with it.It is free.

Microsoft OneNote. In no way specialized for recipes, but it's free, and I use it to organize much of my life anyway. I simply set up a tab for recipes, subtabs for appetizers, entrees, desserts, BBQ, etc, and paste any recipe links I want to keep onto the appropriate subtab.

I love Paprika Recipe Manager! I have a few post on it. So many features.

Hey Thanks for all your replies. I researched how to import from mastercook into Paprika. I downloaded their trial version and had it up an running in a few minutes very easy. Will be purchasing Paprika soon.

Sure you will love it. Hit me with any questions you might have. The biggest thing is the written recipe must be visible to download it. Someone was having troubles with Youtube. You just have to click more or the link to the written recipe.

Paprika is one of only two apps I have ever paid for. Definitely worth it. We set it up on family sharing so my wife and I both have access. I love the download option and how it strips out all the blog junk.

Paprika can successfully download recipes from sites like Epicurious where they obscure everything without a login. So, the recipe has to be on the page, but it doesn't necessarily have to be visible.

It also gets those America Test

Good point. I been able to also get America Test Kitchen like that.

Not to hijack this thread but I've noticed over the years here that people here having issues with seeing/accessing the ATK site. I've never had this problem and I've never been a member or signed up for anything related and yet never have had an issue getting recipes or reviews from their site. Maybe because my OS is Linux based or that I use various ad-blockers and script blockers?

I just downloaded the Paprika trial version on my phone..

Works as advertised ...

Will try it on my laptop....

Great thread here! I will be looking in to Paprika. Thanks for asking the question OP.

I never even looked at software until this post....guess my file of word docs is not the best, LOL. Paprika looks cool, I'm going to have to download the free version and try it.

Not to be the odd man out but...I am hooked on AnyList. For recipes and shopping list integration its stellar. It also does the recipe import from websites or you can manually add a recipe if its only on paper.
Plus I can add shopping lists for different stores and share the main grocery list with my wife so we can both add as needed and whoever goes to the store get it all.

I keep mine in a word document, save as a pdf, email to myself then import it to My Books on my iphone. Seems to work pretty well and its easy to access and view.
